In the UK market grade 12.9 is the more usual and represents one of the highest levels of strength.

Socket Head Cap Screws are also manufactures in stainless steel.

Socket Head Cap Screws have a hexagon socket drive and are tightened using either a hexagon driving bit or wrench key.

The size range is typically M1.6 to M68.

Socket Head Cap Screws can be plated but for grades 10.9 & 12.9 plating procedures are critical to avoid hydrogen embrittlement.
